• Two WNJ Attorneys Recognized Among Michigan’s Most Influential and Successful Business Women

The West Michigan Chapter of Inforum has recognized Candace Dugan and Sue Conway as two of Michigan’s most influential and successful business women.  Sue and Candace were among an exceptional group of business women to receive Inforum’s Inner Circle Award at dinners held in February and April.  For a list of all the Inner Circle Award recipients, click here.

Inforum is one of the largest and most prestigious business forums for women in the nation, with more than 1,800 members from a broad cross-section of Michigan’s business community. The mission of the organization is to strengthen the business environment by creating opportunities for women to lead and succeed. Founded as the Women’s Economic Club in 1962 in Detroit, Inforum has affiliates in Grand Rapids and Lansing, Michigan.

Melissa Collar was one of the presenters at the April awards dinner.  Her remarks summarized the importance of Warner’s involvement with Inforum:

“Warner Norcross & Judd has been a Platinum sponsor of Inforum since 2005 when it was founded in West Michigan. We believed at that time there was a need for this type of professional networking organization here, and we continue to believe in the value that Inforum provides for all women.

“Warner is a firm believer in the power of networks and mentoring programs. Internally, we offer the Warner Women’s Network, which is open to every female attorney at the firm and contains a strong mentoring component. The goal is to ensure women will meet others from outside their practice group with whom they wouldn’t normally have much interaction.

“So it should be no surprise that more than 30 Warner attorneys and staff are members of Inforum. The ideals of our firm and this organization are perfectly aligned, and we are proud to be not only a founding member but a continued supporter of Inforum.”

At Inforum’s annual meeting in Detroit on May 15, Sue Conway will be installed as a member of the state-wide Inforum Board of Directors.  Melissa Collar has also served on the state board.  Doug Wagner serves on the West Michigan Chapter Honorary Committee.  In addition to being a platinum sponsor of Inforum, Warner joined Deloitte and Huntington Bank as the major sponsors of the West Michigan Innner Circle Awards.  The West Michigan Business Review was the media sponsor.
